Maurice Amour is an English multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter from Newquay, Cornwall (UK). He was part of the indie band Franklin for years, but decided to part ways in 2017 to pursue a solo music career. In January 2018 Amour released debut single titled “Take Me Back”. The first song that Amour ever laid his own vocals on. The Single was quickly recognised by the likes of BBC Radio One’s DJ Huw Stephens and featured on his weekly playlist, Alongside this it was awarded ‘Track of the week’ for BBC introducing London. Amour released his Second Single ‘Anxious’ March 2018. This song was rumoured to be written in a hotel room whilst Maurice toured the UK with national icons ‘The Pigeon Detectives’. The year 2018 was full of singles from Amour; he released no less than 7 singles. Following the success of Amours independent release signles he landed a record deal with Netherlands based label Revanche Records. Then a Publishing deal with Sony BMG as a writer/artist. Maurice’s Debut Album “People Change” is set to relese April 2019. The 16 track Deluxe album will be available on all streaming platforms. A Beautifully written album about Amours personal life experiences, love for Astronmy and the ocean. Maurice is set for a big year with an 28 date Australia tour in June/July 2019, Canada Tour in October 2019 and UK/EUROPE shows throughout the year. Amour recently has reached 32.5 million plays on Spotify consisting of music he has written and released both through others and individually. With achievements such as plays on BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing London, BBC Introducing Three Counties Radio and National Live sessions at Virgin Radio; Amour is set for a successful career in the music industry.
