Vicki Baxter – The Hatteme Tales

Saturday 1st June 13.00 - 13.45 The Whispering Woods

Sunday 2nd June 13.00 - 13.45 The Whispering Woods

The Great Estate Festival is extremely excited to have Vicki Baxter coming along for Meet The Author and Illustrator in the Whispering Woods

Vicki Baxter lives at home by the Cornish coast with her husband, two daughters and cat.

Following her graduation with a Leisure Management and Sports degree, Vicki has experienced a varied career as a tennis coach, a prison custody officer in a young offender institute, and is currently serving a fifteen-year sentence as a sales representative in the confectionery market.

Vicki is always active, and always juggling. Trying to find that perfect balance between working and mummy life. Some call it multi-tasking!

The Hatteme Tales is the first childrens book written by Vicki. It is a magical world before our world that is under threat by evil enemies, living underground in Kittozia. There is a one child rule to prevent the capture of their young to make up the evil army. As foretold in a prophecy, one day twins are born, and at the age of eleven they set out on their quest to fight Kittozia’s witch and wizard. Will they succeed in being the saviours of Hatteme.

The beautifully written book is accompanied with equally beautiful illustrations by Caroline Banks.

This amazing opportunity for all the family will be to listen to Vicki reading an extract from her book and also to engage in a creative drawing workshop with Caroline.

The Hatteme Tales will be available to buy at the festival from the Whispering Woods, you can also pre-buy this and bring along to get signed too.
